This year’s Art + Design Walk features exhibitions\, pop-ups\, and live activations citywide. At its core is the U.S. International Poster Biennial\, showcasing 200+ posters from 12\,000 global submissions – on display across Downtown and Long Beach Airport. Presented by the DTLB Alliance and DTLB Design District\, this free event celebrates innovation\, culture\, and creative connection in the heart of the city. \nFeatured Exhibitions + Activations\n\nISM Brewery: 10 Degrees Cooler exhibition paired with the launch of a brand-new 10 Degrees Cooler beer label.\nStudio One Eleven: A vibrant mix of activations including a Muse Apothecary kitchen popup with planting workshops; a reading by DJ Waldie for his latest book\, Elements of Los Angeles: Earth\, Water\, Air\, Fire (co-produced by LA Design Festival with Angel City Press) featuring a popup Angel City Press bookstore in the S&A Club. The book event will be from 3-4pm\, book signing will follow until 5pm. \nIntertrend & Creative Class Collective: Collaborative showcase exhibition at the Edison Theatre. \nCSULB Immersive Design Research Lab: Fresh design happenings exploring immersive environments and interaction.\nMADE on Pine: Exhibition of original posters from the collections of Roy Lichtenstein and David Hockney\, curated by Vida Rodriguez. A community engagement enrichment experience that celebrates creativity\, connection\, and the enduring impact of these iconic artists’ works.\nLibrary of Technics: Blends the city’s creative past with its present\, featuring the original 1922 ceiling. Echoing places like Acres of Books\, it’s where science and art meet in a distinctly European-style space for the curious.\n\n  \n“It Takes a Village”\nThis year’s Art + Design Walk presents “It Takes a Village\,” an evolution of the event’s long-standing artist village. Rooted in the spirit of community-building\, it highlights how Long Beach’s creative community grows stronger together\, each participant adding their voice to a larger collective story. The showcase on the Mosaic Promenade brings together makers\, designers\, and visionaries through sales\, displays\, and interactive experiences that reflect the city’s collaborative energy. Highlights include: \n\nDesign Scavenger Hunt by Raphael Sisa\, Susie Chang\, and Gamal Prather: an immersive\, phone-free exploration of posters and city sites\, turning the Art+Design Walk into a community-wide adventure.\n\nPeople’s Architecture Office: popup activation blending architecture and community engagement.\nKathy Lin + LBC Hero Squad popup + Dreamy Vegan: The Calm Pod is a sensory-rich\, sustainable retreat offering families a moment to pause and reconnect. In partnership with the LBC Hero Squad—champions of neurodiversity—the activation adds artist-designed tees\, resources\, and playful\, inclusive touches for Long Beach families. Dreamy Vegan\, a plant-based ice cream brand that brings back the joy of childhood nostalgia in a fun and whimsical way\, will also be part of the experience.\nCulture Cart: Popping up with mobile vibes and tours across DTLB\, Culture Cart is a Black-owned\, women-led micro-mobility startup based in Long Beach.
