Global “Design Happening” @ IDRL

As part of the 2026 Participatory Design Conference in Milan, CSULB’s Immersive Design Research Lab (IDRL) invites you to experience “…And Its Double,” a four-day Design Happening in the Downtown Long Beach Design District (April 9–12).
Designed as an immersive, participatory experience, the event transforms IDRL@Mosaic into a living lab for curiosity, connection, and co-creation, inviting visitors to step beyond observation and help shape the experience in real time. Coinciding with the DTLB Art + Design Walk on April 11, it’s a unique opportunity to engage with experimental design at a global level, right here in Long Beach.
