
The Downtown Long Beach (DTLB) Design District is excited to be part of this year’s Downtown Long Beach Art + Design Walk, produced by the DTLB Alliance. Taking place on Saturday, February 8, 2025, from 2-7 PM, this event celebrates creativity, innovation, and community spirit. The Design District will host a series of dynamic events, installations, and workshops designed to inspire locals and visitors.
Highlights of the DTLB Design District’s Participation:
“What Do You Make in Long Beach?”
Location: 4th Street (between Pine Avenue and Long Beach Blvd.)
This PARK(ing) Day-inspired pop-up will transform parking spaces into creative hubs, showcasing the diverse talent and craftsmanship of Long Beach. Artists, makers, and designers will engage visitors with live demonstrations and interactive displays celebrating the city’s rich culture of making.
Opening Reception for Shifting Tides: Evolution of Long Beach’ Waterfront

Launch of the “Community” Scent by Muse Apothecary and Floral Workshop

Experience the unveiling of a bespoke community scent inspired by the essence of Long Beach, crafted by Muse Apothecary. Visitors can also participate in a hands-on flower workshop, creating personalized arrangements to take home.
Intertrend’s Year of the Snake Celebration

About the installation: Intertrend welcomes the Year of the Snake with a captivating visual experience. This year’s Lunar New Year installation transforms their office building into a giant interactive gaming surface using cutting-edge projection mapping technology and reimagining the nostalgic Nokia Snake game
The installation was brought to life through a collaborative effort between Intertrend Communications, Boring Labs USA, and B1n4ry.
Creative Class Collective Presents Rhizome or Die by artist b1n4ry
Location: The Edison Theatre (213 E Broadway) Long Beach, CA 90802
About the Installation: Rhizome or Die delves into the contemporary ways humans contribute to a decaying world. It highlights issues such as rising sea levels, increased oil and gas extraction, and the strain placed on power grids by new technologies like AI. This thought-provoking art installation examines humanity’s impact on the environment while exploring innovative solutions to these challenges.
